Who We Are

With the launch of the first Global Brand Convergence® in April 2022, we are a global collaborative annual free experience for higher education students, faculty and professionals in public relations and marketing to connect a community and share ideas, innovations and concepts to advance them in the classroom and in the profession.

 

There are no membership or attendance fees. Our hope is that you find it an open and free exchange of ideas and concepts. 

Our Team

Our team is comprised of faculty, artists, writers, scientists, innovators, practitioners, students and entrepreneurs in all walks of life throughout the world. We are a growing group of people who are committed to the Global Brand Convergence® and what it aims to do and advance throughout the world.

Jacqueline Strayer,
Founder and Convenor

Jacqueline Strayer is a communication and marketing expert, consultant, educator, and culturalenthusiast. She served as an elected officer of three global publicly traded Fortune 500 companiesoverseeing marketing and communications. Her industry experience spans medical device,diversified industrials, technology, financial services, aerospace, consulting, and distribution. She is afaculty member in undergraduate, graduate, and executive programs at New York University andColumbia University and is faculty lead for the NYU Stern School of Business Social Impact FellowsProgram.


She consults with clients on a wide range of marketing, public relations, communications, and leadership and social impact practice areas. Jacqueline delivers tailored workshops, keynotes and moderates and participates on panels on a range of topics related to brand, personal and leadership brand, marketing, storytelling, thought leadership, reputation management and crisis. Notably she
created the first communication and training program to address sexual harassment in the workplace in the United States. She writes about contemporary issues and their relationship to leadership, marketing, and the public relations practice. Her practice areas also focus on social impact and its intersection with business and society.

Among the numerous awards she has received include the Points of Light award from General Colin Powell for her work in Corporate Social Responsibility and twice received the “Best in Class” award from U.S. Secretary of Education Richard Riley for her leadership in improving education in marginalized communities. She was selected as a civilian participant for the Joint Civilian Orientation Conference, a nonpartisan program that is the oldest and most prestigious public liaison program of the Department of Defense and the United States Department of State selected her for the Fulbright Specialist program.

She holds an MPS from the Tisch School of the Arts, Graduate Division of Film and Television, New York University, a BA from the University of Connecticut in economics and political science and has completed all coursework towards a doctorate in organizational leadership. She completed additional coursework at the London School of Economics while she worked as a research associate
for Sir Marcus Fox, MP (Yorkshire).

She has spent her life traveling the world and advancing the arts, serving on the boards of film festivals, public television and radio stations and the performing arts. Committed to human rights, she was a founding member of Operation Respect, an anti-bullying organization formed by Peter Yarrow of the celebrated folk group, Peter, Paul and Mary and works globally with social entrepreneurs advising them on communication and marketing strategies. She has interviewed thousands of people on film including, Heads of State, Presidential Medal of Freedom recipients, Nobel Laureates, Pulitzer, Tony, Olivier, Golden Globe, Emmy and Oscar awardees and Hall of Famers. She has published dozens of articles on a wide array of topics. Her first book and will be published in
2024 along with her second podcast, People In This Momentâ„ . She launched the Global Brand Convergence® in 2022, and is the creator of her trademarked narrative, The 90-Second You®. She believes everyone has a great story to tell.

What We Aim To Do

The Global Brand Convergence® is a free online experience that will connect higher education faculty, students and practitioners who are engaged in the study and advancement of public relations and marketing.
It will include artistic performances, multimedia, speakers and panels that will share diverse thinking, concepts, ideas and people.
The Global Brand Convergence
® intention is to create new bonds of friendship and foster growth in learning, critical thinking and intellectual curiosity.
